Visa has moved its Visa Direct stablecoin capabilities from pilot to commercial deployment, the company said on 15 October. Inyo Global, a Visa Direct processor, is the first enabler.
Through Inyo’s integration, eligible businesses can prefund cross-border payouts with USDC in near real time, rather than relying only on traditional funding windows. Eligibility and availability vary by market.
A single Inyo connection covers user onboarding, fraud and compliance, payment acceptance, and domestic and international payouts to more than 180 countries, with payouts running on Visa Direct.
Visa launched stablecoin prefunding and payout pilots through Visa Direct in 2025. “The next chapter for stablecoins is adoption,” said Vira Platonova, Global Head of Visa Direct. “We’re now seeing those efforts translate into live implementations.”
Digital Trade Outlook’s View: Visa Is Going After the Float
Prefunding is dead capital. Payout firms park cash in every corridor and overfund for weekends because banks only settle when they’re open. USDC lets them fund on demand and put that cash back to work. Correspondent banks lose the cheap deposits those idle balances gave them.
